How to Detox your Body with Juices in 3 Days?

I have been reading a lot about juice detox for the past one month and one thing is certain following a Juice diet for long is neither healthy not advisable for anyone.

Fasting and drinking only juices for consecutive three days can be harmful because you are missing out on the carbs, fibre and solid food you need to survive the day. But it does have its benefit and helps you get rid of toxins, help your digestion and load you up on nutrients and vitamins.

So, I decided to try a three days Juice Detox and see how it helps to cleanse your body.

 

Here is what I did:

I research about the detox juices, recipes, and ingredients that would go right, prepared the list to buy and simply started the process.

Buying the veggies and fruits was not a big task, make sure to buy organic and fresh ingredients which would give better results. Basis the recipes and the number of juices I would need for three days I bought them all in 500 Rs. Which was decent to spent on?

 

DIY Detox Juices:

The second step was to start cleaning up the ingredients and work on the recipes on your grinder. Making your detox juices on your own can be a little tedious because you will have to clean up the mess later, but the advantage is that you know its fresh and without any preservatives. And you are sure going to get the best result for your body.

 

Why Detox Juices:

I have been on medication for quite a long time because of my UTI, so I decided to clean my body from all the harmful stuff.

You can also opt for the detox juice to lose weight and start a healthy start with your body. Also, make sure before you begin the detox cleanse process try to eat all healthy food 3-4 days prior, so this way you are making your body use to it.

It gets tough on the first day to get the right motivation to survive on juices but trusts me by doing this you are going to give a break to your organs and clean out the toxins from your body.

 

Day 1:

You are free to drink any detox drink which you like, and I had listed down a few sets of recipes which I loved and planned it for every day. I had 6 juices every 2-3 hours, half a litre each time.

Start the day by drinking a glass of warm water.

 

Morning: Carrot and Apple Juice

Noon: Lemon and Apple Juice

Afternoon: Beetroot and Carrot Juice

Evening: Quick Start Detox Juice

Late Evening: Apple and Celery Juice

Night: Avocado & Kiwi Juice (From Juice center)

Few of them I repeated in a day, as I had got enough veggies and fruit for the juices. You can make any detox juice of your choice or your favourite fruit.

 

Recipes:

Carrot and Apple Juice Ingredients:

1 large apple, quartered

1/4 (15 ounces) can pineapple chunks

2 large carrots

2 pieces fresh ginger

 

Lemon and Apple Juice Ingredients:

2 lemons, peeled and halved

4 apples, quartered

2 cucumbers, halved

1 cup of water

 

Beetroot and Carrot Juice Ingredients:

2 lemons

2 carrots

2 apples

2 beets

 

Apple and Celery Juice Ingredients:

2 medium apples

3 medium carrots

4 celery stalks

 

Feelings:

Day 1 was not at all bad, I was questioning my decision before the start of this about how I would survive without food but trust me if you have the will you can easily pass the day 1. Along with these juices, you can also drink fresh fruit juices if you wish to change the taste because detox juices aren’t tasty at times. Make sure to drink as much water as you can and stay hydrated and include herbal teas or green tea between juices.

 

Day 2:

Started my day with a glass of bottle gourd (LOKI) juice, I tried it because the juice comes with a lot of benefits. Ideally, it should be taken on an empty stomach for a better result or you can start with a glass of warm water and follow the rest of the day with detox juices. Day 2 I tried new recipes so I could satisfy my taste bud with different options.

 

Morning: Bottle Gourd Juice

Noon: Pineapple Ginger Juice

Afternoon: Celery Ginger Juice

Evening: Watermelon-Cucumber Juice

Late Evening: Pineapple Ginger Juice

Night: Avocado and Kiwi Juice (From Juice center)

 

Recipe:

Watermelon Cucumber Juice Ingredients:

2 Cup Watermelon

1 Cup Cucumber – Peeled or unpeeled as per choice

1 Tbsp Lime Juice

6-7 Fresh Mint Leaves

1 Cup Ice

 

Pineapple Ginger Juice Ingredients:

3 cups fresh pineapple, peeled

2 inches fresh ginger root, peeled

3 pieces of turmeric

1 lime, peeled

 

Celery Ginger Juice Ingredients:

1 small bunch celery (or 1 heart)

1/2 English cucumber

1 large green apple

1/2 lemon

1 -inch knob of ginger

 

Feelings:

Day 2 also went by smoothly without any strong craving for food. My control power over my body got better, and I felt light and good.

 

Day 3:

Really excited about the day 3, as it was the last day of detox and felt proud of myself that I could survive this long with the detox. Started my day with a glass of warm water and the usual routine of the detox juices.

 

Morning: Pineapple Ginger Juice

Noon: Beetroot and Carrot Juice

Afternoon: Watermelon Juice

Evening: Carrot Apple Ginger Juice

Late Evening: Pineapple Ginger Juice

Night: Carrot Apple Ginger Juice

 

Recipe:

Watermelon Juice Ingredients:

1 bowl of watermelon

1/2 lime juice

1 tbsp turmeric

 

Carrot Apple Ginger Juice Ingredients:

2 carrots

2 apples

2 tbsp crushed ginger

 

Feelings:

Day 3 passed with the blink of an eye, really couldn’t realize that I completed the 3-day detox juice program. My experience was terrific, and I could feel my body being cleansed. I would surely recommend trying out the detox process but make sure to consult with your nutritionist before trying anything exclusive.
