Bangalore in Karnataka and Karnataka in South India and South India dipped in chutney with all this let's just go through a small trip to Bangalore exploring food and discovering some great places to hog around. I had spent an amazing weekend in Bangalore while my trip to Tirupathi, we had taken a multi-city trip from Mumbai to Bangalore from Bangalore to Tirupathi, from Tirupati to Bangalore and back to Mumbai, it was a hectic trip with all the back and forth but have utilised it wisely discovering Bangalore cafe/hotel/restaurant.
Luckily I had few friends in Bangalore who would help me take around and explore the best places with such a short trip. It was a family trip with 4 of us me, my parents and my brother. I had a great experience spotting for the best food joints and shopping in Bangalore. Never thought would get to know so much of Bangalore in so little time. There are a few places which I really liked while my food spotting adventure.
Geoffrey’s / Gingsen – Royal Orchid Hotel, Bangalore
My first spot was Geoffrey’s, I landed up there with one of my client whom I was meeting for some business work, and it happened to be at this place. This is an In-house pub inside the Royal Orchid hotel in Old Madras Road they also an outdoor arrangement which they say it’s a part of the place. As we preferred sitting outdoor with a great garden view and it was surprising to see that even during weekends, the place was super quiet but is nonetheless, an ideal place to visit. We had ordered some Thai food which I remember was Veg Thai Curry and Steam Rice the combination is always good to be eaten(Kaeng Pad). Though I found the service to be little slow but being a weekend everyone gets tied up so was not much of an issue.

Tadka Singh– Bangalore
It was a very attractive/pop coloured interiors. Crashed in here for late lunch with my brother while we were shopping in Indiranagar and we were not disappointed. The concept followed here is self-serving & is more of an eatery than of a real restaurant. The place looks really fancy and tidy, so their menu is right up at the money counter, once you are done making the payment you get those fancy buzzer so when your order is ready it blinks some splashy lights and asks you to come and take your order. It has a typical north Indian Punjabi food menu with all your parathas, chicken tandoori and much more, you also have meal combos here which more or less have the basic of any thali you get. So we tried Egg Bhurji Roll- 150 and Kheema Pav- 200 with good quantity and taste. Would surely recommend trying this place out
538, Opposite Metro Station, CMH Road,Indiranagar, Bangalore
Sukh Sagar food Complex- Bangalore
A place that brings down the shutter very late until probably everything is sold out. Visited by the distinctive crowd, easy on the pocket and decent on taste bud. It’s a typical place where you get your Indian chaat, snacks, ice-cream, pav bhajis etc. You get the softy ice cream, which I really liked and it tasted good. It’s a place where you can grab a quick bite while shopping and tired.
6, SM Road, Majestic Square, Majestic, Bangalore
Church Street Social Bangalore
Social- one of the most happening place to come across, well its sounds a little funny that my first experience with social was in Bangalore and not in Mumbai. But it doesn’t matter as they have maintained their branding and management same across cities. It was a nice experience, nothing much of a surprise to me, as I was expecting this place to be cool, crowded and fun. This place is well-known so nothing much to talk about, but I tried my hands on some Awesamosas- papdi samosa and some cocktail which I forgot, but it was a great experience with all the music, crowd, and friends.

They are specialised in Punjabi and Kerala food cuisine. They have a unique style of interiors and the menu is right up on the chalkboard wall from where everyone will be able to find their favourite item as they have a diverse menu. The food is really great and a must try, I am sure no one can get away from this place without having the dish they wish to eat, as there are endless options to pick from the menu.
